Identity erased
Empty shell
Speck of dust
Damaged & decayed

Storm clouds
Looming
Smell of sewage
A prisoners toilet

Suck the smoke
Hold it in
Exhale
Our children’s future

Seeds of despair
Rotten soil
Cracked and pale
Dried tears

Mother earth
Screams
Deafens the rich
Destroys the poor
